There is a new kid on the block when it comes to infrared heaters and you may have seen this one on T.V. recently. I’m talking about the Living Pure Heater and apparently it’s been a hot seller as I see it’s been sold out at Amazon for the last few days. I believe the living pure has just recently launched (december) and did so via a direct response “as seen on T.V. campain” with Montel Williams as spokes person. The heater I’ve review is a 8200 model as designed to handle around 1,000 sq feet which should cover even the largest open areas of your home.

Living Pure Heater 4-in-1 ?

If you’re wondering what the 4-in-1 thing is all about with the Living Pure, you’re not alone, I was too. I did some checking as I’ve yet to see an infrared heater offer a four in one product, or even a 2-in-1 solution for that matter. The Living Pure Heater offers 4 solutions with one smart (and nice looking) mini-appliance. Here are the benifits you can expect to enjoy from this new heating unit:

First off, the Living Pure 4-in-1 is a heater- Heats up to 1000 sq. ft. It also has remote.

It is an Air Purifier- it removes 99-Percent of particles as small as .3 microns and filter is washable

Acts as a Air Sterilizer- Not just a filter. You can read up more on this technology (it’s pretty cool)

Living Pure is also a Humidifier ( it has a built in water tank that will humidify as it heats)

Living Pure 4-IN-1 Heater and Purifier contains a special tip over shut off safety feature and also has “cold to touch” technology in its heating design.

Get FREE Shipping and The Best Price On the 4-in-1 HERE

I think they really do have a solid product hear especially if you compare infrared heater prices. The Living pure is comparable to most “in class” infrared heaters, and cheaper than some. But here’s the thing, the other infrared heaters don’t offer the other FOUR benifits. One of the infrared heaters in my house was also marketed as an air filter. It does have an Air Filter, which is cool, but I don’t think it make much impact, the filter gets pretty dirty and I have to bang on it over the trash can.

Living Pure Heater-More Features

The Living Pure 4-in-1 has washable filter and new patented technology to actually purify the air as it passes through, not just filter dust particles. I believe I read it will filter particle as small as 0.03 Microns, which is, well pretty small. The LivingPure also, like I mentioned, is a cold to touch heater which makes it a safe heating option around babies, kids, and pets. Most of the other infrared heater reviews I’ve done offer the same, it must be the new standard.

Get FREE Shipping and The Best Price On the 4-in-1 HERE

Even the best infrared heater will struggle (and fail) to heat the average home all by itself in a cold weather climate.

It appears that Menards® offers the lifesmart infrared heater and the specifications for the life smart heater listed on their website does appear mention that it heats up to 1000 square feet. Not bad for a good heater, but remember to think supplemental heat.

A infrared heater pull air in from a room and heats it up and then disperses it. Infrared heaters don’t actually create a lot of heat, but they will make the space they are located in much more comfortable. One more thing… The life smart infrared heater comes with a life time washable filter which is nice in the days of “high cost of maintenance” on just about everything else.

Compare Top Heaters and Get FREE Shipping

If your in Menards® Give the life smart a look and let us know how it performs for you if you have one.

I got an email the other day asking if i heaters really worked. The I Heater they were referring to was the infrared I heater. So the question is do infrared heaters really work and then is the I heater a good infrared heater.

Do I Heaters Really Work?

I know from experience that infrared heaters work and they also save on energy bills when used correctly. I don’t own an I Heater and cant’s say for sure how well they work I did take some time to get information on the i Heater and here is what I found:

These Items were taken from the official I heater Website at www. officialiheater.com you visit the website if you require more information on the heater.

I Heater Information: Heater Specs and Info

Wood Grain Look

Remote Control Included

Heats up to 1500 square feet for $1 / day

Adjustable 500, 1000, or 1500 Sq. Ft. room size (Heats multiple rooms)

14 inches x 11 inches x 15 inches

Advanced Technology Infrared Heating Elements (No Bulbs)

Copper Heating Chamber

Decorative Cabinet

LIFETIME washable air filter

Commercial Grade Thermostat

Advanced tip over protection (Shuts off AUTOMATICALLY if tipped over)

Cannot start fire

Safe around kids or pets

No Flames, fumes or deadly carbon monoxides (unlike kerosene or propane heaters)

Doesn’t remove oxygen or humidity from the air

CUTS HEATING BILL UP TO 50%

Heats multiple rooms

FREE Factory Warranty

REMOTE CONTROL INCLUDED!

AS SEEN AND HEARD ON POPULAR RADIO AND TV SHOWS!

Operates on just PENNIES A DAY!

Do I Heaters Save Money On Heating Bills?

Thought I’d mention that a few of these claims seem a bit robust. Especially the one about saving $50 percent on you heating bill. I’m doubting that one and am guessing it will create a world frustration for I Heater customers.

This is not to say it is false. Companies, many times create tests to verify claims. The problem in in most cases, probably yours, the i heater won’t save 50% on you heating bills.

There probable does not exist an infrared heater that can save over %50 percent on you heating bill. While infrared heaters, like the i heater save money on heating costs, %50 percent is a bit WACKED.

How Electric Infrared Heaters Work

By Bill Gatton

Perhaps you have decided to build an infrared sauna in your own home or office, and you are now wondering about the different electric infrared heaters available to you. Or maybe you are just curious about how infrared heaters work. Whatever your reason for wanting to know more, this article is the perfect source for infrared heating element information.

Infrared heaters are composed of thin, flat sheets or plates. It is imperative with infrared radiation that a large surface area is covered. The widest, tallest infrared heaters will generally be the best at doing their jobs and effectively emitting the infrared radiation the sauna needs. Some infrared heater manufacturers make infrared heaters that come in the form of incoloy rods, but these will not be effective or efficient because of the small surface area that they cover.

The vast majority of infrared heaters are made out of carbon fiber, but there are ceramic and steel heaters as well. There are various claims out there about what material is best for a heater, but one sure way to know how one heater stacks up against another is researching its emissivity. Emissivity is the measure of an object’s ability to emit far infrared radiation. It ranges from 0 to a perfect blackbody 1.0. Ceramic heaters have the highest emissivity value, meaning that they are best able to emit far infrared radiation. Taking a look at the light spectrum will show that there is both infrared radiation and far infrared radiation. Though any of the standard materials will heat the sauna, the health benefits of infrared will be most pronounced with ceramic heaters.

Placement of the heating elements in an infrared sauna is also an influential factor in how well they work. Infrared saunas require multiple heaters so that they are emitting radiation evenly all throughout the sauna. One drawback of infrared radiation is that it doesn’t travel very far, so the heaters need to be placed relatively close to users. At the very least, the sauna room needs to have an appropriate number of heaters for its area. Sauna users should be absorbing the light from all around them, including the back and the front.

One important thing to understand is that infrared heaters work differently than traditional saunas. Traditional saunas are heated by means of a box filled with hot coals or rocks that heat up the sauna room. Heating elements reach surface temperatures of up to 180 to 220 degrees F. They generally require 30 to 90 minutes of warm-up before they are fully hot and working at peak efficiency. Infrared heaters, however, are a revolutionary way to power a sauna. They emit infrared radiation, which is an invisible form of light on the light spectrum. It directly heats objects, not requiring the air to get hot in order to work.

By eliminating the need to heat the air and just directly warming the people in the sauna, infrared heaters are able to work quicker, more efficiently, and at lower surface temperatures than traditional heating elements. Infrared heaters usually measure between 110 and 140 degrees F while operating, and only require an average of 20 minutes of warm-up before they are ready to use. Their low surface temperature makes them more energy efficient (and therefore, cost-effective) to use by 30% to 50%.

There are some major differences between traditional sauna heating elements and electric infrared heaters. Infrared saunas work in an entirely different way, so it stands to reason that the heaters do too. Their construction, surface area, and placement in the sauna all make a difference in their ability to function well.
